INTERPRETATION

This course is intended to provide basic concept and practice of consecutive and simultaneous interpreting from Indonesian into English and vise versa. The course helps student to have the ability to convert spoken or sign language statements from one language to another. As interpreting involves listening, understanding and memorizing content in the original 'source' language, then reproducing statements, questions and speeches in a different 'target' language, it offers the opportunity of interpreting program in meeting, seminar, workshop, symposium or other formal or informal activities. Student is expected to be skillful and knowledgeable in both consecutive and simultaneous Interpretation.
